'Providence-class ships were massive, cylindrical 1,088-meter-long warships with a pointed nose that tapered towards the superstructure.Rising from the stern portion of the vessel, was an elongated main communications and sensor pod. The ships, like all Mon Calamari and Quarren designs, were designed to be capable of landing on water in case of emergencies.The surface of Providence-class ships were covered with numerous heavy weapons emplacements. Modified vessels such as the Invisible Hand included a number of turret-mounted quad turbolasers, thirty-four dual laser cannons, two capital-scale ion cannons, twelve point-defense ion cannons, and 102 proton torpedo batteries.The reactors on-board each vessel produced so much power that even their point-defense ion cannons were each capable of delivering enough heat per shot to rival a 4.8 megaton bomb. The Providence-class Carrier/destroyer
With the ongoing Clone Wars new weapons, strategies and tactics were continuously invented and pushed to new boundaries. The newest design was a combination of the two older Providence-class carrier/destroyers and the older Recusant-class destroyers along all their model lines and combine both designs to a modern and dangerous hybrid ship. Produced by Hoearsch-Kessel Drice, Inc. And the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corp on Minntooine, Pammant and Dac these new ships looked like a combination of both types, with the exterior engines of the Recusant-class destroyers added unto the back of the Recusant-class destroyers. Additionally the new mid-section beneath the tower of this combined hybrid Recusant-class destroyers was widened to make more room for cargo, hangars, laser batteries and even more stored armor, tanks, fighters and bombers to enormous increase the strenght and speed of this new hybrid destroyers compared to both the former Providence-class carrier/destroyers and the Recusant-class destroyers. With this new ship-class often used as fleet capital ships or even the main command ship for entire fleets as well as dreadnought who would push the enemy fleet back, the Confederacy of Independent Systems once more modernized it's fleets and overall power during the Clone Wars.Modelled after the Rebel One.
