The Executor was a well known Executor-class Star Dreadnought. According to the Rebel Alliance's intelligence agency, more than a dozen Super Star Destroyers were made, including the Executor itself, the Annihilator, the Arbitrator, the Eclipse, and the Ravager. However, the true number remained a subject of debate, as Alliance analysts endeavored to make sense of Imperial propaganda and see.
While the Resurgent is absurdly overpowered, it is not quite that overpowered-it is still outgunned, though, due to its smaller size, it will be able to bring a lot more of its guns to bear on the Executor than the Executor can on it. Additionally, in Disney Canon, we have no idea if the Executor even carries fighters, though fighters are generally inconsequential in battles between ships of this size. While practical firepower goes to the Resurgent, the Executor probably still wins-it has a far larger reactor and thus, most likely, heavier shields, given that there is no evidence of hypermatter reactors improving at all between VI and VII.The problem is the dropping of the bridge shield at Endor. There are pretty much three ways this can be taken.1. The Executor had its shields dropped by ships equivalent to 5-10 Star Destroyers, who were not all firing on it (we do not directly see them firing) In this case, the Resurgent, with firepower25 Star Destroyers, and more concentrated, wins.2.
The Executor had a portion of its shields dropped by bombardment by vessels equal to perhaps 15-20 Star Destroyers, who were firing at it off screen. In this case, the Executor may or may not win, it all depends on the Resurgent's shield strength, at this level it can definitely bring down the shields within a few minutes.3.
The Executor had a small portion of its shields drop, temporarily, possibly partially due to malfunction, while fighting off several multi-mile warships, and more which came from offscreen, probably 40+ Star Destroyer equivalent (The novelization describes ships stretching beyond visual range, and we see more ships after the battle than during, and more Mon Cal cruisers during the battle and at the beginning.) This makes the most sense to me, and would have the Executor win.So, probably the Executor, but tricky to tell. Click to expand. He did, but we do not really see many turbolaser bolts flying at it when the battle cuts to the Executor, hence my theoretical scenario 1, but 2 and 3 take that into account-the problem is that, with what is shown on screen, the Executor should be able to take down the entire fleet, hence the idea that only part of it is shown, which fits well, we see two Mon Cal cruisers at the start, then two get destroyed, then we see three, not counting Home One, later on, so at least six total, while we saw three at the start, and possibly more. Why would Executor have a problem with bringing guns to bare on Resurgent facing off at 1,000 km?
If Resurgent can accelerate like an ISD which can out accelerate the Falcon, she can still only accelerate at 30 kps. So she can't close the distance and get into a more favorable angle right away. The studio model of Executor is built to such a scale that we can't really tell much about the field of fire of her individual gun turrets. If the blisters that correspond roughly to the same scaling as the ISD turbolaser turrets are in fact gun turrets, we can infer that she has roughly 700+ individual anti-starship turrets with an unknown number of barrels or weapon type and they are relatively evenly distributed. It is a blade shape so most of these weapons should have an unobstructed view of the Resurgent. If even half of them are masked, that's still 350 ISD scale turrets with Resurgent in view.Resurgent also presents a solitary target that Executor can focus all of her deflectors and firepower on compared to the numerous targets at many varying angles that the Rebel fleet represented. I would say that Executor takes the cake here.
While resurgent has a truly ridiculous amount of turbolasers for her size, executor has the firepower and shield strength of 100 ISD's, and 1800 times the tonnage of an ISD. That would mean, unshielded Execotur can take far far more abuse than even a hundred unshielded ISD's. Executors individual turbolaser emplacements are also stronger than whats present on a normal ISD, so at high end with a resurgent likely being the firepower equivalent of 25 ISD's, but with Executors sheer mass, you will probably need 6 resurgent to fight executor and possibly win. This is of course going to max wank for the resurgent pretty much. Also it is best to specify now, is executor carrying her low complement of 144 fighters, or is she at her maximum capacity of fighters which is several thousand.
Everyone favorite ships in Star Wars - Executor-Class Super Star Destroyer is in the game!!!14 Small Weapon Slot24 Medium Weapon Slot22 Large Weapon Slot12 Strike Crafts Slot3 Extra Large Weapon SlotThis ship should give you enough power to strike the fear into your enemyTo build it, you need to have titan tech researched, then unlock Executor Ship Design tech. This takes a long time to complete. Not only that, by default it cost 10000 minerals, by the time equipped with weapons, the cost goes up to 20000+ minerals, depends on the weapon you use.
Build time of 700 days, fleet size of 50. This is essentially a buildable megastructure-weapon on your hand. However it need titan assembly yard to construct, just like titan. You can only have a limit of 5 Executors. The emperor approve the design.Credits to Evillejedi for the ship design =)You can find this ship in mod.
Also thank the author krail23 for the approval usage of the model =)Update:- Wolfe 2.3 update.
