I loved Empire Earth 1, and to be honest really only bought and started playing aoe2 because this game has a current online presence and that one doesnt. My favourite part is the very wide range of units that you can use during the world war epochs. Tanks, infantry, antitank, antiinfantry, aircraft, etc.

  • Age of Empires II is pretty good, and I've played the demo for Age of Empires III, which is also pretty good as well. But Civilization III is on a whole different level, IMO. Much more strategic, as well as no restrictions on the amount of units you can have.
  • Sep 20, 2010 - I haven't bought a computer game in forever, ever since I bought the original Splinter Cell for PC and it was fucked up and didn't play, and I.

The expansion with space vehicles and curves was very fun as well.what I find myself thinking the most about though we're the civilization-specific bonuses. For example Israel can build a priest tower- basically a normal tower, but does conversions instead of doing damage. Novaya Russia can make legit ICBMs.there was also another resource: iron. Used more for the later ages when you start building tanks.I can see why it never got as popular though. Full tower pc case with usb c in the front.

Civ age of empires 3

I've played AoE but it was too long ago to remember details of, and I've never played a Civ game, so my question is which game is a better buy. Not really a fair question. Age of Empires is real time. Civilization is turn based. Age of Empires 2 HD also hasn't been released yet. We have no idea what they've managed to mess up.

Age Of Empires Vs Civ

It was a much more complicated game, and I would not be surprised if there were balance issues because of it.I never played EE2, so I do not know. Empire Earth 1's progression through time was cool but the inflation resources for each age up were the same ratio as aoe2 and there were FIFTEEN. You couldnt even make farms until age 3 so you had to either win in early ages or hope you found enough food to age up TWICE to get farms.

You also were limited to certain number of workers per patches of gold/iron/stone so the income was essentially fixed. It could have been really could if it was a smaller increase per age to age up again. That alone would have solved half the games problems. 'high level' or 'pro' games (no pro scene but good players still existed) never got past first couple ages if they started at age 1.
